为深入贯彻习近平总书记提出的“制度自信”“文化自信”，讲好中国故事、讲好武汉故事，提高我国文化软实力，用国际语言传播中国声音、树立中国形象，势在必行。2020年的疫情，武汉艰苦卓绝，从封城到复苏，76天的时间，我们书写了世界抗疫史上新的奇迹!奇迹的背后，是党和政府的不懈努力，是英雄人民的不屈不挠!

　　为了向这座英雄的城市贡献一份力量，民建武汉市委常委范犇所在单位——武汉三牛中美中学，积极响应湖北省社会科学界联合会党组书记、常务副主席喻立平的倡议“此次疫情期间，中国共产党的抗疫力度、抗疫水平，人民群众有目共睹，我们需要用英语向世界发出武汉英雄城市的声音”，在湖北省社科类社会组织党委主办下，与湖北省演讲协会英语演讲专委会一起承办《致敬武汉英雄城市》的英语演讲视频，旨在通过视频的制作，讲述武汉抗疫历程，讲述武汉涅槃重生，为我武汉之城、武汉精神发声，让世界听到武汉百折不挠、勇于攻坚的正能量、最强音。

　　《致敬武汉英雄城市》演讲视频文稿创作由华中师范大学外国语学院副教授、湖北省演讲协会英语演讲专委会副主任陈志红执笔，由武汉具代表性的高校、中学、小学联合参与现场演讲，由武汉三牛中美中学承担方案制作、视频编导、实地拍摄、后期剪辑等工作。

　　2020年7月1日，该视频在武汉三牛中美中学公众号发出，向中国共产党99周年献礼。之后，由人民日报新媒体平台转载首发、央视、杭州网转发。这既是一首对党的生日的赞歌献礼，也是让世界看见，武汉依然每天不一样，让世界听见，中国的声音!武汉三牛中美中学也感谢社会各界的关心和支持，让我们共同为重塑大武汉国际形象尽绵薄之力，让我们共同期待国际化大武汉的蓝图更加美丽!

　　Wuhan is free, free at long last!

　　From the flying rain and freezing snowflakes,

　　To the singing cicadas and dancing fireflies,

　　Wuhan has pushed her "restart" button,

　　And daily life is pulling its normal pattern.

　　Surviving…

　　We, the lucky ones in Wuhan, have survived,

　　Whether rich or poor, old or young,

　　From the 100 days of lockdown

　　When every one of us needed to stay strong.

　　Thanks to the tireless angels in white

　　On the life-and-death frontline,

　　We’re now free,

　　From the merciless battle without smoke.

　　Thanks to the selfless fighters in diverse roles

　　Those scientists, researchers,

　　Social science workers, and countless heroes

　　At the struggling united fronts,

　　We’re now free,

　　In the tranquil peace without storms.

　　Thanks to our neighbors staying indoors

　　For their care and support

　　Through uncertainties and losses.

　　We wept with fears,

　　But laughed with tears,

　　Not disheartened in chaos,
